Assessment is an important part of student learning. Effective assessment is closely aligned to course goals and measurable learning objectives. When we hear the word “assessment,” we think “test.” However, good assessment involves a variety of techniques (quizzes, short and long papers, test questions that require the application of a theory or concept, surveys and polls, etc.).

Blackboard, Turnitin, and i>clicker are among our solutions to deliver varied assessment. Use Turnitin Originality Reports to gather information about potential plagiarism. Use Turnitin PeerMark for student peer review after assignments have been submitted. Rubrics will help students understand how they will be graded and are not only built into Blackboard and Turnitin but synchronize with the Blackboard Grade Center.
